My little guy has worn this through at least six washes now and the cotton still hasn't pilled or faded. The stretch is the real winner though, it slides over his head without the usual wrestling match.
Bought this for my nephew since my sister lives in Utah now, and the 100% cotton stayed soft even after three wash cycles. The neck opening stretches just enough to pull over a wiggly baby's head without a fight.
The cotton is thicker than I expected and survived three washes without shrinking or fading. The neck opening is stretchy enough that I'm not wrestling it over my wiggly six-month-old's head. Cute Utah nod, too.
